Troy Joseph Gebo 1972-2022


It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Troy Joseph Gebo, 49 of Springfield Massachusetts on Friday April 15, 2022 after a long battle with various health ailments over recent years.


Born and raised in Springfield Massachusetts, he attended Cathedral High School, served in the United States Army National Guard, and worked in the security industry. Troy most enjoyed cooking, caring for his children, and enjoyed family gatherings. Troy was a big hugger, and would often times call out to “bring it in”. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, skiing, motorcycles, and enjoyed the Red Sox as well as many New England sports teams.


He is survived by his daughters; Kayla, Tori, and Alyssa, son Thomas, and former wife Joey.


He also leaves behind his parents Homer Gebo of Holyoke, Massachusetts, Elizabeth RobIdeau-Gebo of Longmeadow, Massachusetts; four siblings, Michelle Bard, and her husband Clifford or Southwick, MA, Lisa Leahy, and her husband Jamie of Springfield, MA, David Gebo, and his wife Rachel or Stafford Springs, CT, Shane Gebo, and his wife Sheri of Somers CT, as well as several nieces and nephews.


Services will be held on April 26, 2022 with a 9:30 AM mass at Holy Name Parish 323 Dickinson Street, Springfield, Massachusetts 01108 followed by a burial at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Rd, Springfield, Ma 01129.
