Sandra L. (Benson) Burke, beloved wife of Dennis (Michael) Burke for 46 years, was Called Home June 2nd 2022 after a battle with lymphoma; truly a bright light has gone out. She will be sorely missed by family and friends. She was born to Frank Benson and Muriel (French) Benson on March 21st 1944 in Brockton, MA and attended Stoughton High School. She leaves six children, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren as well as two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. She attended Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH beginning her first college experience at age 50. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She spent many years as an artist creating works in pastel, oil, watercolour, and lithography. Sandra was one of the founding members of the Quabbin Art Association in which she was active over the years as Secretary, Membership Chair and Co-Chair Historian. Among her other interests were a great love for gardening, walking on the beach in Manomet and reading poetry. Donations in her memory may be made to the Quabbin Art Association P.O.
