Ronald Edwin Biffinger, of Avon, CT, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, January 27, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ron was the husband to the late Kathleen Biffinger. Ron
was born in Atchison, Kansas on October 20, 1949, to the late Robert and Barbara Biffinger.
In 1973, Ron earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology from The University of Nebraska. He enlisted in the Army in 1969, serving during Vietnam, and was honorably discharged in 1972 and was a
proud American Legion Commander for his lifetime. Ron started his family in Nebraska with his late wife, Kathy and later moved to Avon, Connecticut where they continued their journey together. He had
a great love for continuous learning, reading, baseball, and was a successful small business owner for decades.
A loving and devoted father and papa, Ron, leaves behind his two sons and two daughters: Justin
Biffinger, Jarrad Biffinger and his wife Lisa, Jevon Mansfield and her husband Rick, and Kate Angelillo and her husband Matt. Ron leaves behind five grandchildren: Celbe, Caitlyn, Aliya, MJ, and Archie. He also leaves behind his girlfriend Patricia Detol, his brother Tony Biffinger and his wife Maureen, his sister Robin Biffinger and brother-in-law, Fr. John Baker.
Ron always showed up for his family and endured four children’s worth of sporting events, recitals, graduations, and many other milestones. He exemplified the true definition of unconditional love and will be missed by all who knew him. Private services will be held.
