Robert L. Perron, 1958-2025, of Granby, MA, passed away at home August 7th, after a short illness. He was born in Glover, VT, to Robert R. Perron and Leonora Mitchell Perron. Robert is remembered by his sister Donna Sroka, her husband Gary, their children Gregory and Kristin, and his granddaughters Lacey Palmer, and Lily Garrant. He was predeceased by his wife, Lisette Schwalm Perron and their daughter Laura L. Perron. He will also be missed by many friends, neighbors, and cousins from Vermont, Scotland and Quebec.
Robert owned and operated Perron Roofing for many years and was a skilled house builder and fine carpenter. He built beautiful homes in Maine and Nantucket and throughout Western Massachusetts. When needed, he was the kind of person who was always willing to help a friend, acquaintance, or family member. Often the prankster, he would leave his calling card, usually an empty can of Coors Light, somewhere perfectly devious. One of his favorite places was the top of a ceiling fan! Robert, known to family, friends, and associates as Robbie, Bobby or Bert, was always exceptionally gifted at having fun. “That sounds like a terrible idea… What time?” Like his father, a Vermont dairy farmer, and his grandfather, Archille Perron, a co-founder of the W.H. Perron Seed Company, of Quebec, Canada, Robbie was a gifted ‘horticulturist’ and often shared the fruits of his labor with friends and relatives.
When Robbie retired, he enjoyed hosting every Friday evening, at his kitchen island. His wit and humor were legendary. So quick, and dry, he often left you confused, and then greatly amused. One of his standards; when asked how he felt, with a befuddled look, he’d reply, “with my hands, of course”.
Funeral services will be private. The family would like to thank Cooley Dickinson VNA & Hospice Services.
