Pearl E. Woodward, 99, of Goshen, MA passed away peacefully, December 31, 2023 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital surrounded by her family.
Pearl was born on January 19, 1924 in Sac City, Iowa to Verna and James Hall. Pearl served as a hospital apprentice first class in the US Navy during World War II. While stationed in California, she met the love of her life, John W. Woodward Sr. , who also served his country at that time. They married on March 24, 1945. Originally from the Midwest, Pearl had a fondness for New England. Pearl and John settled in Goshen, MA in 1979, where she enjoyed the peace and serenity of her home along with being a sports enthusiast.
Pearl was preceded in death by her loving husband in August of 2005, and is survived by John W. Woodward Jr (son) and his wife Patrice of Goshen, MA, Deborah A. Hoover (daughter) and her husband William of Williamstown, WV, nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
A public burial will be announced later this spring.
