Norman was born Norman Keith Frigon on May 21, 1947 and was adopted by Dorothy and Albert LaFoe of Westfield MA. Norman was welcomed into the family by his “new” sisters, Winnifred, June, Gloria, Leona, Phyllis and Norma. Norman was predeceased by his parents and all his sisters except Gloria who resides in Tennessee. Norman was twice married and had a son, Jeffery who has also left this physical world. He leaves his two daughters and a grandson behind, Jill and Andrew who reside in Westfield and Juliet who resides in Michigan. Norman also leaves many cousins, too numerous to mention by name. Norman graduated from Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science degree. Norman loved people and has worked towards helping them in many ways, he coached little league baseball, was President of the Westfield Jaycees, was Union Steward of the Retail Clerks Union number 1459, an ultimately became a substance abuse counselor helping countless individuals and families. Over the years, Norman also owned or partnered with others to run several businesses in the Westfield area, including True Circle Comedy, and The 252 Lounge. Norman loved music and played the guitar and harmonica. He loved tag sales and flea markets, having booths at several local flea markets. His dearest friend, Pastor Mark Niznik of Florida remembers Norman saying “Norman was one of my favorite persons on the planet, he had wonderful faith and was such a humanitarian who loved to laugh with a great sense of humor, a deep thinker, simple in so many ways.”
