Jane, 58, was reunited with the Lord on the evening of October 19, 2022. Jane graduated from Cathedral High School as part of the class of 1981. Jane married Richard Boyce Sr. on October 12, 1990. Together, they raised their daughter Jenna (Boyce) Shumate. Jane touched many hearts
in her day-to-day life, through work, and with her bubbly presence. Jane was a loving mother, a thoughtful daughter, a caring sister, and a compassionate friend. Jane received several awards for being an outstanding caregiver during her 30 years of service to the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts. Jane watches over her family as she leaves her parents, Mary Ann & Edward
Patenaude, her daughter and son in-law, Jenna & Derek Shumate, her brothers James Patenaude, and his wife Karen, Walter Patenaude and his wife Mary Ann. Jane also leaves her sister Debra Carpanelli (dec.) and husband Al Carpanelli, her nephews, Adam, Timothy & Christopher Patenaude.
There will be a Celebration of Life mass held at 10:00am on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Bethlehem Church: 123 Allen Street, in Hampden. Burial will take place following the mass at Saint Aloysius Cemetery: 1273 Berkshire Avenue, in Indian Orchard. Williamsburg Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that each person touched by Jane would go out of their way to create an act of kindness in her memory.
