The family of Gerson A Nivar is deeply saddened to announce that he has passed and gone to be home with the Lord 7/22/2026. Born on in Yamaza, Dominican Republic, Gerson lived a full and remarkable life which included living in Puerto Rico where he met his late wife Carmen and raising children in New York City. He finally landed in Massachusetts, where he made roots and touched the hearts of everyone he met through kind compassionate and humorous personality, his time as a chef and business owner.

He will be lovingly remembered as a passionately dedicated family man, wonderful father, world’s best grandfather and a man of faith in Jesus by his 2 daughters (Sharon and Kari), his son (Gerson), his grandchildren (Justin, Joshua, Jazzlyn and Arianna Jade), his beloved dog Coco and cherished friends. Thanks to Mercy Hospital and all those involved in his treatment for their compassion and care.
