On Sunday July 12th, Fran was called to be with her late brother Butch Brockett; peacefully at Baystate Hospital surrounded by her family. Fran was born July 9, 1942, in New Haven CT to the late Howard Brockett and Thelma Madley. She worked in the Healthcare field for many years. In her retirement life, she enjoyed spending time at the West Springfield, Springfield & Agawam Senior Centers, going to yard sales, watching cooking shows, reading, doing puzzles, shopping whether it be on QVC or with her daughter and spending time with her family. She had many talents; cooking, sewing, crocheting and quilting.Â
She's survived by her beloved three children; Thelma (Joy) Otero (and life-partner Bob) of Springfield MA, John Vazquez (and wife Claire) of Meriden, CT and Michael Vazquez (and life-partner Lori) of Chicopee, along with her cherished grandchildren; Chris Torres (and wife Heidi), Lynn Otero (and life-partner Victor), Tina Beaulieu, Alyssa Vazquez, Michael Vazquez (and life-partner Maria) and Jessica Vazquez (and life-partner Nick) as well as several great grandchildren. The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to all the incredible staff, nurses, and doctors at Baystate Hospital.
To honor Fran's giving spirit, no services are planned. The family appreciates your love and support during this time. Fran pre-selected Williamsburg Funeral Home in Haydenville, MA to be entrusted with her care.Â
