Elyse (Ellie) Lynn (Moskowitz) Korell, 63 passed away peacefully on March 17, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield MA after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer.
She was born on June 4, 1957 in Springfield to the late Karl and Annette (Cohen) Moskowitz. Raised in Springfield, she attended Springfield schools and was a graduate of Classical High School, class of 1975.
During high school, Ellie volunteered as a "candy striper" at Springfield Hospital, now known as Baystate Medical Center. She later joined their employ in the dietary department then moved to messenger services.
She was employed by Walmart in both the Springfield and Chicopee locations for over 20 years and was a member of the Indian Orchard Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Ellie loved animals, especially cats and zebras. She loved doing her cross-stitch projects and made beautiful pictures, bookmarks and an assortment of items which she gave to her family and friends. She was a very giving person and put her family and friends above everything else. one of Ellie's greatest pleasures was going shopping with her sister.
Ellie leaves her daughter, Anita (Korell) Suarez and son-in-law, William Suarez, her sister, Caryn Greco and brother-in law, James Greco, her grandchildren, Anthony and Alexis Suarez, her cousins, her dear friends, Tina and Ron Guidetti and all her friends from her congregation.
Ellie will be sorely missed by all.
Services will be held via zoom on Sunday March 28th at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Jehovah's Witnesses at jw.org or to Rays of Hope.
Her cremation was entrusted to the Williamsburg Funeral Home, HampshireCremation.com
