
Ellen Marie (Madamas) Chiba, 63, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2020. Her final days were spent with her family close by, sharing fond memories and each other’s company. Ellen grew up in Agawam, MA and was a class of 1975 graduate of Agawam High School. She enjoyed creating stained glass masterpieces and spending time with her beloved Grandchildren. She spanned a variety of careers over the years ranging from Construction Work to Bookkeeping. She was predeceased by her parents, June & Nicholas Madamas. She leaves behind her son Seth Chiba of Feeding Hills, MA and his wife Jessica Chiba. Her sister Sue Madamas of Somers, CT. Two brothers, Nick Madamas and Michael Madamas, both of West Springfield, MA. She especially leaves behind 4 much beloved Grandchildren, Patience, Faith, and Mia Grace Chiba and Gavin, whom were the light of her life and provided her with much joy over the past years of her life. Ellen will be most missed by her grandchildren – with a special message from Mia, “Yaya was the most wonderful person ever.” Faith shared “I hope your better now Yaya, we all miss you, you were my favorite person I love you with all my heart”. There will be a private celebration of Ellen’s life amongst her family. Donations in Ellen’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society. Rest in piece Ellen !!! You were an awesome friend !! I’ll always cherish the stained glass gifts that you gave me. Maybe you can teach them up there and we will have even better sunsets !!! I know your in a better place and my only regret is that I didn’t get to say goodbye !!! Still have a lot of the plants you gave me. Fly high Ellen, till we meet again !!!
