With great sorrow her family announces the passing of Donna Marie Szwedzinski Cipriani. She died peacefully at home in Westfield on Friday after a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 1st 1953 to Emily and Stanley Szwedzinski, growing up surrounded by love in Chicopee. She based her life around thinking of others and her generosity knew no bounds. Donna was a devoted Registered Nurse at Baystate Medical Center for 48 years. Her Infection Control coworkers were lifelong friends whom she adored. Donna loved volunteering at Denise's Westfield Homeless Cat Project and befriended the many fellow volunteers.
Donna leaves behind her beloved husband of 36 years Steven, daughter Stephanie and son Stephen. She will be deeply missed by her sisters Gail Domeracki, Lori Allen and husband Gov. She cherished her nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Many thanks to all friends and family for cards of encouragement, meals and flowers. The family has deep gratitude for Dana Farber and Baystate Hospice during these difficult 5 months.

A Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament Church in Westfield, 127 Holyoke Rd, on Thursday September 23 at 10AM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Williamsburg Funeral Home is in charge of the service.
