Donald D. Descoteaux


It is with sincere sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Donald Dana Descoteaux

Of Springfield Mass on April 16th, 2020, a t the age of 70 after a brief illness.

Born in Springfield, Mass on Feb 11th 1950, Donald was the oldest son to the late Lucien A Descoteaux

formerly of Biddeford Maine, and Mary Edwards Descoteaux of Springfield Mass.

Donald attended local schools in Chicopee and graduated from Chicopee High school in 1969.

After graduation he worked at the former Champion Packaging Company in Chicopee for 28 years.

Donald had been married to the love of his life, his one true love, Denise DiRoma Descoteaux for

23 years.

He was an avid sports fan, especially the Springfield Hockey teams.  Besides his wife Denise,

He leaves his two brothers, David Roland Descoteaux of Chicopee, and Steven Mark Descoteaux and

his wife Marjorie Descoteaux of Milford Mass.

He also leaves one niece, and 4 nephews and many great nieces and nephews and cousins from the

Springfield Mass, and Maine area.

Mrs.  Descoteaux would like to thank the nursing staff and CNA’s at The Chapin Center in Springfield for

the care that Donald received while he resided there for the past three years.

At this time, there will be no calling hours and a family gathering will be held at a later date.

A Go Fund Me Page has been set up in Donalds name for anyone would like to make a donation.

Williamsburg Funeral Home in Haydenville is in charge of the arrangements.
