Barbara L. Perez 1945-2021


Barbara L. Perez, 76 of South Hadley, MA fell asleep in death after a long illness on Saturday, December 4, 2021. She was born January 13, 1945 in Milford, CT and was the daughter of Thurston and Helen White, of Stratford, CT. Barbara was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on April 8, 1973 and was a member of the Amherst, MA congregation. She made it her custom to be in attendance at all of the Christian meetings at the Kingdom Hall in Amherst if her health allowed. She enjoyed writing poetry and loved spending time with her family, and was her happiest when surrounded by them. Barbara leaves behind her loving husband Carroll “Buddy” Perez of 55 years, who loyally and lovingly cared for her.

She is survived by her children, Christopher Perez and his wife Nancy, Stephanie Skrocki and her husband Jeffrey, Corrie Wetherbee and her husband Patrick, Patrick Perez and his wife Angela, and her daughter in law Stacy Passmore and her husband Jared. Her son Kevin predeceased her in 2010. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Ethan, Ally, and Emma who were ever so special to her, and many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her younger brother Robert Nicholas White, and his wife Lyn. Her brother Thurston “Toby” White predeceased her. She also leaves behind her large spiritual family.


Barbara will be remembered for steering clear of unnecessary drama, her dry wit, and the gift of a quiet and mild spirit. A memorial talk in Barbara's memory will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM on Zoom;
