Angelo M. Fratini, 84, passed away on November 3, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center, to be reunited with his beloved wife and sweetheart of 57 years, Madeline (Carreira) Fratini. Born in Springfield MA, he was the son of the late Girolamo Fratini and Nicolina (Angeloni) Fratini. Angelo was predeceased by his siblings, Anna Chmielewski, Anthony Fratini, Julia Vernadakis, Albert Fratini, Francis Fratini, and Elizabeth Gelinas.
He is loved and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his son Gerald Fratini and his partner Cheryl McGraw of Ludlow, his daughter Lynn Fratini of Branford CT, his daughter Lisa Fratini of Greenfield, his 3 grandchildren, Terra, Anthony, and Erica, his 3 greatgrandchildren, his brother John Fratini, his sister Mary Petrolati, and nieces and nephews too numerous to count.
Angelo proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, and enjoyed visiting with veteran friends young and old. Upon his retirement from United Technologies, Pratt and Whitney, he lived in California with his wife enjoying boogie boarding, coffee clubs, and trips to San Francisco. Upon returning to MA, he loved going to car shows with his son, lunches with his daughters, holidays with his family, breakfast with his grandchildren where the pancakes were "golden brown all around."
He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and laughter wherever he went.
