Alan Lee LaPalm 1951-2026

On June 13th the world lost a great man, husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. Alan Lee LaPalm, 74, a lifelong resident of Williamsburg passed away peacefully after a long battle with multiple health issues. Alan was born June 30th 1951 at Cooley Dickenson Hospital in Northampton Massachusetts, Alan graduated from Williamsburg High school in 1969. Then went to Springfield Technical Community College where he studied for 2 years and graduated with a degree in Basic Electronics. Alan worked for 43 years at Smith and Wesson as well as delivering the Sunday Republican for many years. Alan is predeceased by his father Horace LaPalm and mother Adeline (Merritt) LaPalm of Williamsburg as well as his sister Paulette LaPalm and brother Donald LaPalm. He leaves behind his wife and love of his life of 50 years Judith (Benoit) LaPalm, sons Eric, Arron, Nathan and his wife Emma. His daughter Tiffany and her husband Dan. 8 grandchildren, Codie Stroup, Jessica Stroup, Jackson Gallese, Jacob Bruss, Kayleb LaPalm, Logan LaPalm, Cole LaPalm and Paige LaPalm-North, His nieces Melanie Galecki and Holly Roch, and nephew Brian LaPalm. He was loved by many and loved all those deeply. Alan acted as a father to all his children's friends. He was the most sensitive, loving, hardworking man, He loved camping and traveling. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.


The family will be planning a celebration of life, the date TBD. Williamsburg Funeral Home in Haydenville assisted the family with Alan's cremation.


In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to get Alan's son and his family in Arizona for travel and lodging expenses to be able to come to the celebration of life for Alan.
