Haydenville- Daniel J. Arel, 23, died on Friday morning at Cooley Dickinson
Hospital in Northampton, born on October 5, 1993 he was the son of Gary R.
Linscott and the late Mary L. (Greene) Arel. Daniel grew up in Haydenville and was
a 2012 graduate of the Smith School with a concentration in culinary arts. He
previously worked for three years for Walmart in Northampton. He enjoyed chip
and putt golfing, candlepin bowling and was a fan of the UMass Hockey Team.
Daniel will be dearly missed by his father Gary Linscott of Haydenville, his sister
Deborah Linscott of Easthampton and brother David Linscott of Denver, Colorado.
Dan was loved by his niece Aurora Meehan, uncle Greg Linscott, many cousins
and his special friend from childhood Jake Lulek. Calling hours will be held at the
WILLIAMSBURG FUNERAL HOME 3 S. Main St., Haydenville 01039 on Tuesday
evening from 6 to 8 PM. His funeral service will meet at the WILLIAMSBURG
funeral home on Wednesday morning at 10 AM with a graveside service in Village
