Margaret "Greta" Lippman 1948-2025

Margaret "Greta" Lippman (McClellan), age 76, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Born to Margaret (Bradford) and George McClellan on December 29, 1948, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Greta lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and quiet strength. She devoted her professional career to nursing, specializing in wound care. As a registered nurse, she brought comfort and healing to countless patients over the years with her steady hands and kind heart.

Greta was the beloved wife of the late Edwin Lippman. Together they built a life rooted in love and mutual respect. She was also preceded in death by both of her brothers.

She is survived by her only daughter, Amber Lippman, who carries forward her mother’s legacy of warmth and resilience.

Outside of her work and family life, Greta found joy in the simple pleasures of nature. She especially loved camping in her RV—a pastime that allowed her to explore the outdoors and find peace under open skies. Those who knew her often described her as the nicest person you could ever meet—someone whose kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

In honor of Greta’s love for animals, donations may be made to Dakin Humane Society at 171 Union Street, Springfield, MA 01105. This organization held special meaning for her as it was where she adopted both her cherished cat and dog.

May Margaret "Greta" Lippman's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Williamsburg Funeral Home in Haydenville was entrusted with her service.
